Most versions of this question assume death is a doorway to somewhere else, a place you travel to and wait. But look at that assumption before you answer it. What if there is no “after” at all, because there is only life?
“God is of the living”
There is a moment in the Gospels where the apostles keep asking Jesus what happens after we die, and he gets short with them: God is of the living. Read plainly, that is a strange and useful clue. The entire experience you have ever had is living. Time itself is bound up with being alive. No experience, no time, no “where would you be.” So the picture of an afterlife as a place you go and wait quietly comes apart. Not into nothing. Into now.
It is always now
Here is the reframe. If it is always now, then death is not a door into the next life. People hear this and say “oh, reincarnation,” but it is not that either, because there is no line of lives to move along. There is one eternal now, expressed as endless variation. The life you are living will always exist, and you will always be in it, having the experience of it. And not only your life. Every life.
Eternal, but not immortal
There is a line in Psalms that puts it well: you will live like gods, but die like mortals. That is not a threat, it is a relief. The individual life, with its particular body and story and sense of separation, does come to an end. And that ending is part of what makes it worth living. What does not end is what you actually are: the awareness all of it appears in. That was never the personal story in the first place.
So what are we actually afraid of
Look closely and the fear of death is rarely a fear of not existing. It is a fear of losing control, losing the plan, losing the ability to carry this particular story forward. We are, in a strange way, afraid of more living. Loosen the grip on the story, and there is a lot less to be afraid of.

No. Reincarnation is a line of lives you move along. This points at one eternal now, expressed as endless variation, rather than a sequence you travel through.
